We had our
first official day of nest monitoring inside the colony, but still no nests yet. I've been seeing courtship behavior and fish carries, so things are happening, just on the terns' timeline. Thanks for being out there and vigilant; I've been out the past couple of days doing fence repairs that have been reported by volunteers, so thank you.
Our field training session was cut
short this Saturday due to the wind, so if you want further training or were unable to make the last one, email Cheryl so we can arrange another date.
Please be sure to use the newest data sheet that is available on the Sea and Sage website
here. The data sheets are looking good coming in, so I think the new sheets are working! Please remember to write your name on the sheet since we seem to have forgotten the space for you to do that :)
Someone left a notebook at the kick off meeting. It says "Birding" in red sharpie on the front. If this is yours, please email me so we can reunite you with your notebook.
Thanks everyone! See you
on the beach.
