May 10 - Great News from the Colony

Hello Volunteers—

As of yesterday, we have 94 nests! We will be going out on Friday and have some updated numbers to share after then. Nothing else too new to report, other than we have had some PEFA sightings and AMKE sightings. Please remain vigilant for predators and record as much information about the bird as you can (any identifying plumage, BANDS, missing feathers, etc).

If you need a name tag, please let me know and I will make you one. Don’t forget about the wonderful resources we have for you to use during your shift- a spotting scope and binder full of information and wonderful photos you can use for educating people. The binder is in the volunteer backpack located in the magnolia kiosk.

Thank you for being out there!
