| Tree Swallow Nest Box Study at the
San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary (SJWS)/ Sea & Sage Audubon Society. |
Assist naturalist.
Teams will visit 50-100 nest boxes weekly,
record nesting activitiy - nest building, # of eggs, dates of incubation,
# of hatchlings, # of fledglings, etc. |
Near Audubon House at the SJWS
in
Irvine on Riparian View, off Michelson, between Campus & Michelson. |
Volunteers will be needed each week
during nesting season - mid March through July. |

| Starr Ranch Audubon Sanctuary: Artichoke
Thistle Removal Project. |
Each volunteer day will include briefing
on project, moderate hike to work site, about 3 hours spent lopping the
tops of the thistles with a hoe. Equipment will be provided. |

Day |
Various activities, may include weeding
or planting native plants. |
Meet at the walk bridge by the main parking
lot of Bolsa Chica, off PCH, in Huntington Beach. |
Last Saturday of each month, 9:00
am to 12 noon. |
