174 people attended our 2010 Annual Dinner on March 19th at the Irvine Hilton. The room had ample room for the chapter display tables on one side and the Silent Auction tables on the other side. Everyone enjoyed the social hour before dinner with the no-host bar and the opportunity to look at the displays and make the rounds at the Silent Auction tables where a large number of interesting items were so artfully laid out by Cheryl Thomas. Gretchen McCausland’s beautiful floral centerpieces graced each table, making the room look inviting and festive

Betty Purdy and Lois Jones received a special Appreciation Award for their many years of work on the Fern Zimmerman Library which is housed inside Audubon House. The Gallagher Award was presented to Dick Purvis for establishing the very successful Orange County nest box program. The Fern Zimmerman Conservation Award was presented to Trish Smith for her efforts on behalf of the Coastal Cactus Wren.

We enjoyed Jon Dunn's great program on "Warblers of California and North America." It was definitely a memorable evening! The following morning, Jon presented a more in depth workshop on warbler migration routes and identification.
