SUMMARY:ANAHEIM COVES PARK bird walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a bi-monthly bird walk to this bird-rich park located near the heart of central Anaheim. The large basins within the park and the adjacent Santa Ana River host large numbers of shorebirds, waterfowl, and wading birds, as well as one of very few inland tern colonies found in the county. The adjacent upland and riparian habitat can host a surprising variety of migrant land birds and riparian breeding species. Birders of all skill levels are welcome.\n\nDIRECTIONS: The park is located along the Santa Ana River between Ball Rd and Frontera Street. Parking is free and there are clean restrooms. The address is 962 South Rio Vista in Anaheim. From Lincoln Avenue, head south on S. Rio Vista St. for 0.8 miles. MEET at 8:00 am by the entrance to the park at Rio Vista and Lizbeth.
