DESCRIPTION:We will meet at 7:00 AM on Saturday at Diaz Lake just south of Lone Pine.  From there we will drive north along Hwy 395, birding at numerous locations in the Owens Valley and in the surrounding mountains.  Target species include LeConte’s Thrasher, Sooty Grouse, American Bittern, Prairie Falcon, Lewis’s Woodpecker, Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch, and many others.  The group lodges in Bishop on Saturday night.
