“The State of the Bolsa Chica”

This month, we are pleased to welcome Melissa Borde, Environmental Scientist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Manager of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.

Melissa will provide an overview of the Reserve, including: recent management successes and ongoing challenges, highlights from the most recent nesting season, and updates on current projects and research efforts.

She will also discuss the importance of the Bolsa Chica as a critical coastal wetland, upcoming project needs, and the wide-ranging collaborations with partner organizations and volunteer groups that make this work possible.
