Artzy Birders
Craft & learn with Sea & Sage Audubon. Nature talks, hands-on art, and community.
Join Sea & Sage Audubon for Artzy Birders, a monthly craft-and-learn experience designed for adults (18+) who love nature, creativity, and community.
Please register for the event in advance so we can get an accurate headcount and ensure we have enough supplies available for everyone.
July Topic: Introduction to Nature Journaling
Learn about the history and current trends for this popular craft. Gain exposure to different methods of creating a nature journal. Start your own nature journal using collage techniques and recycled materials. The only limit is your imagination! We’ll have a variety of supplies available for you to use during the collage activity, but we encourage everyone to bring their own materials as well. Great options include old magazines, stickers, newspapers, calendars, photographs, or any other interesting paper items you’d like to incorporate into your artwork. Bringing personal materials can help make your collage more unique and meaningful.
Date: Friday July 3, 2026
Time: 6-8 PM (Doors open at 5:40 PM)

We would love to have food available for everyone and are hoping to make this a potluck-style gathering. If you are interested in bringing a dish or snack to share with the group, please email hope.ludwig@seaandsage.org.
This event takes place on the first Friday of every month, now through December, offering a new theme and creative experience each time.
Each evening offers a relaxed, social atmosphere where you can unwind, connect with others, and explore the natural world in a creative way. The program begins with a short, engaging talk from knowledgeable speakers and guest experts, introducing a nature-inspired topic. From there, you’ll dive into a guided, hands-on craft that brings the theme to life. No prior art experience needed.
Whether you’re here to learn something new, try a creative activity, or simply enjoy a unique night out, Artzy Birders offers a fun and meaningful way to engage with nature.
