Upper Newport Bay Pontoon Boat Trip ($)

Join us for the rare chance of birding the Upper Newport Bay from the deck of a pontoon boat. Spotting birds from the water offers one a different perspective and the birds seem to view us differently also. Leaders: Darrell Wilson & Sally Menzel. 

Advance Registration Required – Tickets: $25 per person

Reservations are required, and space is limited. Please purchase your ticket in advance to reserve your spot. If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Darrell immediately, as there may be birders on a waiting list who are eager to join us.

When: Third Wednesday of each month 8:15 AM–11:30 AM

8:15 AM: Check-in
8:30 AM: Boat departs promptly

Sea Scout Base
1931 West Coast Hwy.
Newport Beach, CA 92663

The Sea Scout Base is approximately 0.7 miles south of the CA-55 (Newport Blvd.) intersection with CA-1S (West Coast Hwy.) and 1.8 miles north of the Jamboree intersection with CA-1N (West Coast Hwy.).

Important: The only restroom facilities available are at the Sea Scout Base before we leave the dock.

Waiver: A group trip liability waiver will be provided by Darrell for everyone to sign upon arrival. A trip checklist will be emailed to all registered participants before the outing.
